Robert Scholes Isn’t an Adrenaline Junkie, He Just Relishes a Good challenge.
The heavy beat of the helicopter blades sent flurries of snow in all directions and when Robert Scholes stepped out of it and onto the waist-deep powder, it nearly swallowed him up. All he could see for miles around were mountains and brilliant, blinding snow. After stepping into his skies, he charged down the steep slope and felt a surge of adrenaline race through his body. For most people, the thought of skiing in places so remote that they can only be reached by helicopter would be unthinkable. But Robert thrives on personal challenge and testing his own boundaries.
Doing The Impossible
To Robert, there is nothing as thrilling as attempting the impossible, and his drive is a clear metaphor for how he lives his life. When he watched Tiger Woods play the Canadian Open and made what people thought would be an impossible shot, Robert had to try it. When he was 18 and wanted to go out west to make his own way, his dad bought him a bus ticket and told Robert he would be back home, defeated, in three weeks, but Robert proved him wrong. From back-country hiking to tent camping to downhill skiing. Robert is always looking for new and exciting ways to challenge himself.
Testing His Limits
And his professional life is no different. Working the graveyard shift in the frigid warehouse of a meat-packing plant at 18 was physically and mentally challenging, but he walked away from it with and unbeatable work ethic and a determination to be his own boss. He opened his own business barely out of his teens and after the birth of his daughters, went into contracting and home renovation where he enjoyed the logistical and artistic challenges that go along with finish construction.
Rising To The Challenge
So in 1985, when Robert decided he wanted to pursue a career in real estate, he had plenty of experience to draw on. It came as no surprise to the people that know this hard-charging individual that he closed no less that six transactions in one week, in his first year in the business and this track record persists to this day. A naturally analytical man, Robert considers all the possibilities before tackling any issue and clients appreciate his through attention to every detail. This propensity for analysis also makes him an intuitive listener and, along with his determination to overcome any obstacle, he has a long roster of very satisfied clients.
To ensure that his clients are up-to-date and well–served, Robert offers free monthly reports on the current market and uses the most advanced technology to find dream homes and showcase listings. He also uses staging techniques to bring out the best in a house and , with his knowledge of renovation and construction, Robert is able to identify the strengths and weakness of a property his clients are looking to either buy or sell.
